From February 5th until early morning on the 20th,denizens of Azeroth focus a little more on love rather than war during the Love is in the Air event. If it isn’t obvious enough, this event celebrates the real-world holiday of Valentine’s Day. Players will earn Love Tokens, play with charms, and participate in romantic activities throughout the event. Thankfully, those interested in love and those that are not can both benefit from the event. Completing every achievement for Love is in the Air gives the player the opportunity to earn several achievement points and the title “the Love Fool.” See the Obtaining “the Love Fool” title section below for step by step instructions on how to acquire that.

RIFT and its gamers can celebrate their first true holiday event with the Fae Yule event. Like other events centered around a planar issue, the Fae Yule event comes in phases. Phase 1, Remembering the Yulemother, is currently underway and that means there are new dailies to complete and new items to purchase with event currency.

This is gold selling. There’s no way to sugarcoat that, but whether or not it’s ethical or a fiscally sound move is up to the buyer. Some folks will be happy that they can buy a new pet without having to pay real money. Some gamers will see this as an opportunity to make serious gold. Some will be disappointed by the fact that only one character can claim the pet they just purchased. Fortunately, for the one-use issue, vanity pets will become shared at the Battle.net account level when Mists of Pandaria releases. In theory, that would make the Guardian Cub account bound and available to all characters on an account like the other $10 pets.
