So the biggest letdown and good news for today is that Aion has just announced that it's finally going beta this coming June 5 right after E3. As most of the people I see hanging around the site, the biggest issue they have with Aion is that it's P2P.

Last May 19, Exteel the 3D MMO shooter of NCsoft opened its South East Asian servers for its Open Beta Test. It seems that SEA players would finally get to taste the thrill and excitement of handling their own mechas.

I don’t really get it, but most of the F2Ps that have their “marketing arm”, are taking the viral marketing approach (in other words spam, spam, spam) in trying to market their game. Their mindset is that as long as the name of the game is posted in the forum, website or whatever it is online then its good.

It would seem that the game has finally awoken from the reverie it was once stuck in. The question now is that will these updates finally help get the game back at par with majority of the MMOs out there or would this be the last gasp for a game that has finally broken down to its once glorious pedestal.
