Enjoyed much success for the past year in Asia as "Rohan: Age of Unity", "Rohan: Blood Feud"  now will be hitting the English-speaking market. Revamped for the western market, "Rohan: Blood Feud" is a rich and expansive persistent online world, set on the continent of Rohan. And it's a free-to-play MMORPG.

MMOsite: I am glad that we have this opportunity to make an interview with you. To start, can you make a brief introduction to yourself and your company?

Fred White: Sure.  My name is Fred White, and I am the head of Marketing at YNK Interactive.  Based in the United States, YNK Interactive is the newest addition to the YNK family.  We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of YNK Korea, one of Korea's largest online game developers and publishers.  The mission of YNK Interactive is to publish localized versions of high quality game titles from YNK Korea and deliver them to our English-speaking markets.  Our first title which launched in November of 2007, Seal Online, enjoyed a large following in Asia which carried over to the western gamers.  Rohan: Blood Feud, will be entering the closed beta testing phase this month.  We are all very excited!

MMOsite: What kind of RPG is Rohan: Blood Feud? What led you to bring it to the U.S. market?

Fred White: The game is a fantasy-based, free-to-play MMORPG.  The Rohan titles have enjoyed great success in Asia, and we wanted to let the English-speaking fans from around the world enjoy the game without depending upon 3rd party language translators and unauthorized patches. 

MMOsite: Is there anything different between the Korean Version and the English version? Have you made any changes to cater to the American audience? And what are your expectations on this market?

Fred White: Rohan: Blood Feud is the result of a top-to-bottom update of the game.  Not only has all the text been translated obviously, but the game has received a complete overhaul to address the regional differences that the West has to offer.  Things like interface structure, WASD keyboard capability, animations, and overall balance between the races are all elements that have been updated for Western users' tastes.  Our Lead Producer, Jay Suh, has been overseeing a tremendous amount of "localization" efforts over the past several months.  I can tell you that as a gamer myself, I am very excited for this game.  I've been playing it on a test server for over a month now, and I am utterly impressed.  I look forward to getting the gaming public's reaction to the game, and I think it's going to be pretty good.

MMOsite:  What kinds of classes will be available to the Dark Elf race? Can we expect that the Dark Elf race will be playable when CB starts? Will you add any new races in the future, like Dwarf, Giant, etc.?

Fred White: Ah yes, the Dark Elf.  They seem to be a very popular topic in the media!  Fans will be happy to know that the Dark Elf race will be included from the beginning and not as an expansion later.  Dark Elves start off as mages, and can work to take on a "secondary class" of either a Warlock or a Wizard.  We are looking into adding new races in future expansions of the game, as well as lots of other goodies and upgrades for the players.
