Dreamlords is a persistent world in which victories and hard work will not pass unnoticed. Everything gained will make the player stronger for the next encounter.

In Dreamlords, players assume the role of a Dreamlord in the control of a patria. A patria is a chunk of land floating in the universe with its own population and various natural resources. The patria is the base of operations. This is where everything starts; the population lives here, which enables a player to create an army and construct buildings. As the patria grows, more choices must be made. Player skills are required to focus a strategy, be it might through force, cunning, alliances or some other means. Everything is allowed in the war for existence.

Here comes David Rosen, the CEO of Lockpick Entertainment and Executive Producer of Dreamlords.He will tell us more about Dreamlords.

MMOsite.com: To start, would you care to introduce yourself? Where is your company located? How many people are working on this project and what are some of their previous credits?

David Rosen: My name is David Rosen and I am the CEO of Lockpick Entertainment and Executive Producer of Dreamlords. We have our offices in Skövde, Sweden and we are currently about 20 people involved in the production. Almost all of our team members have a degree in computer game development, be it art, programming or game design but none of us has any prior titles in our portfolio so this is our first project.

MMOsite.com: Dreamlords is a MMORTS, which sounds appealing. Why did you decide to make such a game? How does the idea come out?  What kind of gamer will find Dreamlords to be the best possible fit?

David Rosen: We first labeled it an MMORTS but we felt that the labeling did not match the whole game. It is an MMO strategy game with RPG elements, built around what we feel will be a very strong community. When deciding what our first project would be we discovered that several people in our team have had ideas that we could merge. This type of game has been the project of my dreams for almost 10 years and when our Lead Designer threw some ideas on the table I saw how it all could be combined. From that, until today, the journey has been exciting and the game has evolved into so much more than our initial thoughts. I feel that any gamer remotly interested in strategy and community based games will find this appealing. Strategy has, until today, lacked persistance and has given little rewards for all your efforts. This will change when Dreamlords is launched.
