Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) knows China better than competitor Blizzard, reports Shanghai Securities News quoting Netease CEO William Ding after the company reported its first quarter financial results on Thursday. Ding said Neteaseˇ® success in the Chinese online game market is enhanced by its skill at attracting Chinese consumers with traditional Chinese culture. Ding also said that Netease develops online games strictly targeting Chinese gamers while Blizzardˇ®s online game World of Warcraft broadly targets the international gaming market.
