After nearly a year and a half World of Warcraft has brought significant revenue for Vivendi Universal Games. This quarter ended in March 31 the company reported a 134million euros(almost $165 million)in revenue,18.6 percent up compared to a year prior. Most part of this income was attributed to the great success of World of Warcraft.
In addition,during last day‘s meeting shareholders of VU Games‘ parent company - Vivendi Universal approved a name change,dropping the "Universal" from its original title and adopting a new logo."Vivendi‘s new logo and visual identity reflect the company‘s strength and ambition. A strength founded on its ability to be creative, innovative, and dynamic and the ambition to offer customers the best products and services." they said.Now "Vivendi Universal" becomes "Vivendi".However the names for the rest of the company‘s divisions remain unchanged.
