After the noise of Epic‘s demonstration of Unreal Engine 3 in GDC 2005,it comes words that the company will show off its latest abilities,including PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 support,FaceFX facial animation with "auto-generated lip-synching" to GDC 2006 attendees.

The annual Game Developers Conference has come a long way. Originally started in the living room of Chris Crawford in 1987, the GDC has now become another important event for the industry, occasionally delivering some big news. This year the event will be held in San Jose, March 20 to 24.

One of the loudest noises made at the 2005 GDC was the demonstration of Epic Games‘ Unreal Engine 3, the latest version of the popular technology. Epic today announced that it will be back at this year‘s event in greater force, expanding its presence beyond tech demos.

The company‘s bread and butter will of course make a showing, and this time the Unreal Engine 3 will show off its latest abilities, including PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 support, FaceFX facial animation with "auto-generated lip-synching," and new editor tools.

Epic will have a booth in the Career Pavilion to give perspective developers a chance at joining its team of developers. Speakers from the company will be giving five lectures in various topics, such as programming, game design, and visual arts.
