The new subsidiary will handle the company¡®s sales and marketing in France, while some sales duties will be managed by current distributor Nobilis SA. Former Activision sales director Antoine Seux will head up the new unit, which will have offices in Paris.

Midway CEO David F. Zucker said the expansion is part of Midway¡®s plan to place more focus on the European market.

"With the addition of our French subsidiary to our other European sales offices in Germany, established in early 2005, and the UK, we now have a direct presence in territories that represent the majority of software sales in Europe," he said. "Growth and expansion in the European territories continues to be a major initiative for Midway, and we believe this move establishes Midway as a force in the European territory."
