The 2005 China Game Industry Annual Conference (CGIAC 2005), known as the �Oscar� in China�s game industry, will be held in Xiamen, China January 10-12. Supported by the General Administration of Press and Publication of the PRC (GAPP), CGIAC 2005 is organized by the Publishers Association of China and jointly sponsored by the Work Committee for Games under the Publishers Association of China, Sohu and 17173, Sohu�s Fuzhou subsidiary. At the conference, 14 awards will be conferred to Year 2005�s excellent game developers, publishers, operators, channel distributors, media, and outstanding entrepreneurs in China�s game industry. The awards represent the highest achievement received by Chinese game manufacturers and products in the past year and as well as a special honor from China�s game industry.

- Jan. 11th: Three gaming forums, including Game Innovation Forum, Gaming Environment Forum and National Game R&D Forum
- Jan. 12th: On the Way�Summit Dialogue
The summit dialogue will gather the most influential personages in China�s game industry, who will discuss important game issues in China and share their experience of success with participants. Kou Xiaowei, deputy director-general of the Audio, Visual, Electronic and Internet Publishing Department under the GAPP will be the first speechmaker for the summit dialogue, and Chen Tianqiao, Chairman of Shanda, Ding Lei, Chairman of NetEase, Zhu Jun, Chairman of The9 and Zhang Chaoyang, Chairman of Sohu will state their personal views during the dialogue. Undoubtedly, the dialogue will involve heated debates. It is estimated that personages from10 ministries and commissions, 10-odd industry associations from China Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, over 200 gaming enterprises and more than 100 media will attend the conference drawing more than 350 participants to the conference.
