Last month, Game Router announced the open beta for Rose Online in Europe. What on earth makes the title attractive to players? Bearing this question in mind, I started my Rose journey. After entering my account and password on the login interface, I was taken to the character selection screen. I clicked to customize my character, including gender, eyes, hairstyle and hair color. A girl with yellow ponytail was created. Off I go! My adventure in Rose Online started!

As soon as I entered the game, I found I was on an island surrounded by bluish green sea and blue sky above the head. Waves washed the rocks on the island, beautiful butterflies danced in coconut trees and lovely caterpillar strolled in the grass, and mini-jelly beans hopped around. Everything is so fresh, natural and fascinating.

Ahead of me, Arua, a beautiful fairy was guiding my way into the game world. The world is consisted of seven planets created by goddess and we are visitors sent by the goddess to save the planets when they are in danger.

After introducing herself briefly, Arua began to teach me the skills to survive in this world. I took my first quest from her, hunting 3 Mini-Jelly Bean. When I moved the mouse onto the monster, the mouse appearance turned into a tiny sword. Now, click the monster and it will start to attack. When you finish all the quests on the island, you can say goodbye to Arua and adventure more in a broader world!

A small upload screen flashed across, then I appeared beside a pond with small antique wood huts around. I walked along the pond and passed the wood huts. Oh, it’s where blacksmith lived. En, I’d better buy some weapons to protect myself. I picked an iron dagger and a small wood shield. Beside the blacksmith was a material merchant. Er, they were not useful for the time being. When I hang around in the village, I met the village head Gurley. He told me that because adventurer Grassland kept supporting new visitors, the planet was in short of resources. Of course I was happy to offer help, so I took a quest to kill Jelly Bean. Ok, I can leave the village now. More thrilling adventures are waiting for me!

          

Overview: fresh graphics, cute appearance, simple and neat interface, friendly beginner‘s guide and interesting monster conversation

Fresh graphics: Sun shining in blue sky, white clouds in various shapes, bluish green water and exotic coconut trees. A dream-like atmosphere is created at the very beginning. You can enjoy those beautiful sceneries that can only be found in fairy tales such as Alice in Wonderland. In the game, there are seven unique planets, each with its own characteristics. You can image what you will experience in seven totally different style worlds.

Cute appearance: Butterfly knot, big eyes, small mouth, jacket, casual shorts, orange gloves and light sandals. These are the equipments for my lvl 5 character. When I was hanging around, I noticed some players with wings on their back and some players driving tank. Isn’t it cool? It is for sure that more fashionable equipments are waiting for you to discover.

         

Simple and neat interface: The interface of Rose Online is simple and neat just like other Korean games. The status bar is on the top left of the screen, the minimap on the top right, the chat bar on the bottom left and shortcut key bar on the bottom right. The player can drag the shortcut key bar and attribute bar freely.

Friendly beginner‘s guide: Once the player creates a character, there will be complete guide for him/her to follow, such as how to walk, how to fight monster, how to chat, how to trade and so on, covering all the basics of the game. In addition, there are considerate hints and newbie tasks.

Interesting monster conversation: During fighting, the monster will spit out sentences that make you laugh. For example, Jelly Bean calls a pal, “Buddy, come and help.” When they are defeated by players, they will say, “My buddy will revenge me.” Players will feel the easy atmosphere around while leveling.

As I just played the game for a little while, I couldn‘t touch upon many features. It is said when you reach a certain level, you can drive a car. Of course, you need to accomplish some quests, something like taking driving test in real life. When you accomplish the quest, NPC will give you a car at random. The cars also have their own level, which will influence their speed and appearance. There are also some luxurious cars with super high speed. There is also a pet system Rose Online. When players are slaying monsters, by chance, monster’s seed will drop. Double click the seed, and a monster will be summoned out, who will fight shoulder to shoulder with the player. In addition, the player doesn’t need to raise the pet.

On the whole, Rose Online is a pretty nice game. If you are fed up with those massively online games, just have a try of Rose Online. Apart from entertaining yourself, you can also make a lot of friends here. I bet it will not let you down.
