MMOSite: Players can create Kungfu in Monster & Me and other players can learn that Kungfu, which is an advanced self-defined system for users. Can you give us some hint how this system works?
M&M Staff: Create kungfu is a unique system among the numerous systems in Monster & Me. It provides players with maximum freedom to give full play to their creativity.
When designing this system, we had the intension that in Monster & Me players will not just follow a single mode set in the game. Except for some low-level kungfu forms which players can learn from NPC, players have a great freedom to create their own kungfu forms. In this fantasy world, players will become a part of the game and evolve with the game. Besides, when players create their own kungfu form, they will decide the name, type and even special effect of the form.
Create kungfu in Monster & Me is a brand new concept. The higher level a player is, the more profound kungfu he will create, the more powerful the attack will be and the more effects the kungfu form will display. Once a kungfu form is created, the system will inform all the players in the game, which is absolutely a grand event in Jianghu. Besides, not only can the player use the kungfu form he himself creates, but also he can teach it to their friends and enjoy the achievement together.
MMOSite: Monster & Me is famous for its pet system. How does its pet system distinct from other games?
M&M Staff: Monster & Me is the first online game developed by TQ Digital and its pet system is the first of its kind in China. From its birth, growing up to composing into the next generation, everything about the pet is related to the Wuxing theory of ancient China. We can say Monster & Me is imbued with the charm of ancient Chinese culture and to pass and inherit the ancient Chinese culture is our original intention to develop Monster & Me.
There are more than 150 types of pets in Monster & Me. As the indispensable companion for gamers, Monster & Me pets come first on the list of same-type online games in the world in terms of combat mode, leveling up mode, pet skill, pet raising and gameplay. The combat modes for in Monster & Me pets include confusing attack, poison attack, hypnosis attack and paralyze attack, each enjoying unique feature. The pets in Monster & Me can be divided into two types, namely evolvable and unevolvable pets. After evolution, they will take on a new look and advance into a higher level. Furthermore, the four attributes of the pet, including HP, attack, defense and dexterity will advance accordingly. When the two pets raised by the player reach a certain level, they can be composed. Composition is a very important function in Monster & Me?s unique pet system. The player must select two parent pets that are suitable for composition. After composition, a new pet will be created, inheriting the attributes of its parents. Then, the two parent pets will leave their owner and go to travel around the world together. Their offspring will accompany the owner instead.
MMOSite: It seems that the item composing system in M&M is unique. Can you give us more details about this system? Concerning different types of item composing, is there any reference numerical value or they are totally at random?
M&M Staff: Yes, the system is unique. More exactly, we call it ?forging system?. Jus like the pet system we mentioned before, the forging system is also designed based on the philosophy of Bagua (Eight Trigrams) of Taoism in China. Players can forge item in Wuxing Oven. There are eight trigrams in Wuxing Oven, namely heaven, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain and lake. You must select different trigrams to forge different items and when you select forging materials, you must bear in mind whether the attribute of the material is supplementary to the finished item you want to forge.
In Monster & Me, shop NPC will not sell super items, which players have to forge by themselves. We believe players will experience the unprecedented achievement made by Ganjiang and Moye from creating the super sword while they appreciate the mysterious Taoist Bagua furnace.
