Arbiter is known by his pretty good comics of Conquer.Today we are glad to have this interview about him and his comics.(click here to see more comics by Arbiter)

Simon:To start, when do you start playing Conquer,And what do you think of Conquer?
Arbiter:Hmm let me?see... I¡®d say about 3 years ago I started playing Conquer,A friend of mine (smiley_dude69) introduced it to me and another friend.Initially I thought I wouldn¡®t play it that much because at first glance it didn¡®t look appealing to me.With that in mind, I thought it would be funny if I made a female character to marry my friend,so I made a warrior called Cortana,then after a few days of playing I WAS HOOKED?,I couldn¡®t get away from it, everyday I would log on and level up I think its a very addicting game

Simon:How do you come to the idea of making the comic??
Arbiter:Well over the years I got bored (like everyone else who plays the game for a very long time)??And this is after I sold all my equiptment off of Cortana and bought archer stuff for Arbiter.At the time I was reading online comics?like www.vgcats.com, www.penny-arcade.com, www.phwonline.com and so forth.They were all so funny and one day I thought "Hey maybe I should make a comic based on Conquer"?And I didn¡®t even start making them till a couple months later One day I got bored and told myself "Hell, lets do this"Then, bam I whipped up my first comic?

Simon:How do these idea come out ,i mean?some stories of your comics is really fun.
Arbiter:Haha personally I don¡®t they¡®re that funny but maybe thats because its my jokes.The ideas come from whatever my mind cranks out Like the first one with Don Ho and the restaurant thing.I saw the New Years costume and automatically thought of those guys working at a chinese restaurant? So the ideas came to me while I make the comics Some ideas I¡®d say are influenced by other comics I¡®ve seen like the websites I¡®ve mentioned.Other ideas come from television?and 1% comes from what my friends and I talk about.

Simon:Have you ever meet any trouble in making comics?
Arbiter:Yes actually!One time when I was making Seek and PK, I ran into trouble with a MECH member,apparently who just attacked me and my cast members for no reason I don¡®t remember that player¡®s name but I think I mentioned it in the post I made with the comic We had to move from jail to Copper Mine afterwards.The normal problems we have would be an afk cast member or me being lazy?

Simon:How?long?does it take for you?to complete an episode of comic??
Arbiter:It all depends if I¡®m bored or not, heh.Normally it takes about an hour to take pictures in the game Then when I Photoshop, it takes about an hour a page Averaging with 5 pages per episode, I guess thats about 6 hours??But some days I get lazy and put off Photoshoping for another day which ends up to be 72+ hours to release an episode.That?is all good to me, its not like I¡®m on a strict time schedual?I do this in my free time and for fun!?

Simon:Who gives you the most help in making the comic?
Arbiter:My friend Perry (Lord Snow) helps me most of time being a fellow cast member on?Conquer.Even though alot of times I make fun of him.He¡®s a great sport?? I do all the Photoshoping myself.

Simon:We can see that your skill is getting better and better.
Arbiter:Yea I love Photoshoping!? Many years ago I got into when I saw people in other forums with kick ass signatures so then I decided to practice on graphic designing and the comics I¡®ve seen on other websites. I noticed how they went from crappy looking into more professional appeal,so I thought "If they can do it, so can I!"

Simon:Your comics?is attracting more and more?readers,what do you think of this?
Arbiter:I think its great that I¡®m making the community feel better about the game.All I would see is a bunch of people complaining about crappy service, how players flame other players over skills or luck, and stuff like that.So maybe I thought I could bring some fun into the community and show people theres more than one way to play the game.I mean if people at World of Warcraft are getting into all that cybersex role playing stuff to get more fun, then my comics are no different from that idea :P?

Simon:Have you ever thought of making comics for other games?
Arbiter:Well if you¡®ve ever seen the comics on www.phwonline.com, they make comics based on Half-Life 2.I¡®ve been thinking about making comics for that game whenever I get a better computer.Heck, the first comics I ever made were from that game, come to think of it?.Though I never posted them online, I just did it for laughs And then theres WoW if I ever get a chance to play that? I¡®d love to make a comic out of that game.

Simon:Any comments?
Arbiter:Well I wanna thank all my friends who supported me in this.?I didn¡®t think this whole comic business would last?,but sure enough people loved it.Despite the fact that every episode comes about every monthAnd I don¡®t think I¡®ll be leaving the Conquer community anytime soon so expect much more comics in the future,I¡®m shooting for 50 episodes :-O I do a special comic every 10th episode so if anyone has any suggestions, I¡®d like to hear it :P
