Cause the Game Rating Board of Korea did not perform well,after a year long
controversy, the Korea officer finally passed the bill that
transfers Game Rating Board(GRB)'s rating work to the private
organization.Now the culture ministry has a year to classify the relevant
documents for the new committee. Since then, all games, except arcade ones, will
be rated by new organization.
It is said that the private
organization will consist of about 9 persons who are gamers themselves. Budget
will be cut and a new appraisal mode will come out. The whole processes will be
more professional. Beside, the approval of teenagers' gaming activity will be up
to the organization too.
Anyway,this is a revolutionary act that government releases the rights to the people. Hope the private organization will bring the real justice for Korea gamers.
