People often play games to enjoy themselves. However, games are like clothes. In the first few days, you may feel refreshing and pleasant, but clothes will wear out after a period and need to be patched. Likewise, no program is perfect. It is inevitable that bugs will appear in a game, and small programs have to be written in order to fix these bugs. These programs are the so-called patches.
Patches are normally applied to make modifications to games. After being patched, games will provide players better and smoother gaming experiences. To some extent, it enriches the game content and enhances the gameplay. And normally, patches can be used to add new skills, characters and items in order for players to become more immersed into the game.
Every coin has two sides. Patches will also bring some bad effects. A patch is simply a program, so it may have bugs as well. If a flawed patch is released, the game will inevitably be affected, ranging from map missing to function changing. As a matter of fact, botting programs are also a kind of patch.
Certainly, a game doesn’t look good with too many patches. To solve this problem, game client will be updated from time to time. However, it takes a long time to download a new client. As for me, I would rather use convenient patches, what about you?
