Changyou, a Chinese MMO developer and publisher, has recently unveiled its four new MMOs, all of which are developed with next-gen engines. Not only the famous commercial engines like Unreal 3 and Cry Engine 3 are applied in the new games, but also Darkfire, the engine independently researched and developed by Changyou is included in the game.

Of the 4 new MMOs announced, DaVinci Online and Project M (codename) are FPS MMOs licensed by Korea-based developers. I'll just focus on the next two self-developed titles.

DaVinci Online

Project K

While the most important game developed by Changyou is Project K (codename), the first 3D action MMO developed with CE3 in China. The game adopts non-targeting mode and values combo hits. Owing to the unlimited skills combination, gamers can carry out various combo hits on the same target to realize the effects of floating and flicking.

Project X7

Project X7(codename) is another 3D MMO developed with Darkfire engine, which was developed by Changyou for years. The game shares grand and broad world lore by integrating all kinds of myths in the world. The biggest feature of the game is the creation system, by which gamers can combine items in whatever way they like and create a brand new item; even the boss you capture and the HP potion can constitute a new item. The CBT of the game is expected to kick off in the next half year of 2013.
