NetEase announced its latest MMORPG codename Game-X was titled as Dragon Blade officially in the press conference last week. The game scenes are so splendid especially the setting of female characters from which we can see a bit of a famous Korean MMO (Blade & Soul, I'm looking at you).

When being asked whether the style of female characters in the video is made to challenge Korean MMORPGs, NetEase said the game is expected "to be international and for players in more countries."

NetEase stated that it started developing Dragon Blade 3 years ago. "The first thing we needed to solve was the game engine. We found the existing game engine sever was stable and balanced enough for us to develop more funny MMO gameplays, but we were not satisfied with its graphics performance at the game client. Therefore, we researched and developed independently again on the game client based on keeping the original engine sever so as to make its graphics performance comparable to the most advanced console game engine. Now the game is almost finished but we think there is still much to improve."

In Dragon Blade, players can have rich visual experience. Besides spectacular buildings, the game has many more scenes to show game civilizations and you can even see totems in the game. With regard to the design of female characters, NetEase stated, "the sexiness of female characters is to be international."

Drangon Blade

Dragon Blade is a 3D next-gen MMORPG with strong strike feel as well as ample game connotations. PVP, PVE and social interaction are all core parts of the game. Now the game is in closed development and the business mode is still a secret.
