It has always been a tricky endeavor to get a solid release date for Blizzard's long-awaited title Diablo 3. Earlier last month, Game Director Jay Wilson said in the official forum that Diablo 3 will be coming in the "near future". Now this "near future" seems to be on April 17, according to a post on Italian gaming site MMORPG Italy and the game will be retailing at 54,90?for the standard edition and 89,90?for the Collector's Edition.
It is learned that MMORPG Italy got this concrete release date from Blizzard Italy brand. Several large retailers in Italy are now claiming that April 17th will be the official release date for Diablo 3. What's more interesting is that Amazon Italy site and GameStop's UK also list the same release date for the game.
The supposed released date is of course unconfirmed by Blizzard but Jay Wilson replied on his twitter that "on a scale of 1 to 10, (1=not even close, 10=imminent,) they are at 9 for announcing the release date."
Nonetheless, we'll have to wait until next week for the official press statement, but there is also a possibility that Blizzard will make the announcement in GDC 2012. So let's just wait to see whether the date is real or not.
