Players' response to Ragnarok Online 2 was really sensational when it was officially launched in South Korea in 2007. But unexpectedly, Ragnarok Online 2 shut down services in less than 3 years, turning it into a sad memory for the players. However, two years later, Gravity, the developer behind Ragnarok Online 2, decided to remake Ragnarok Online 2 and promised to make it live up to players' expectations. Now, the remake version of Ragnarok Online 2 is going to enter its OBT. Let's see what is happening and will happen in Ragnarok Online 2 in an interview with Korean media.
1. Stat System featuring Higher Degree of Freedom
Players who participated in the final CBT conducted last December commented that ability point distribution made little difference to characters. As a response, the Dev. Team has made modifications to ability point distribution, and promised that in the OBT, players will experience a stat system featuring higher degree of freedom.
2. 15 Classes and Level Cap Set to 50
The current version of Ragnarok Online 2 offers 15 classes, and the level cap is set to 50. Though the game content has not been enriched greatly, much content has been modified. Aside from the stat points, each class' skills have been redesigned. Additionally, the current version allows players to choose to do repeated quests or not to do.
3. Hard Mode Added for Dungeons
Hard mode dungeons have been specially added for maxed players, which offer better drops and monsters not available in normal mode dungeons. Therefore, hardcore players can enjoy new fun in Ragnarok Online 2.
