2011 is an unusual year for South Korean online games, when many South Korean game companies gained rights from world-famous enterprises to adapt a variety of outstanding works, e.g. Winning Eleven Online. Additionally, well-known South Korean game companies rushed to unveil game sequels that had taken years to develop, e.g. MU Online 2 and Lineage Eternal. The pour of new products into the South Korean market in 2011 seems indicative of South Korean online games' new irresistible vigor.
Webzen that failed to push out any new blockbusters after C9 was in urgent need of a new blockbuster to move forward. At this point, MU Online 2 came into being!

MU Online 2 only released a gameplay video at G-Star 2011, but this accounted to a "surprise" for all MU Online fans. From 2004 when MU Online 2's development was first reported to 2011 when the game was first made public, players had been waiting for this "surprise" for so long.

At this year's G-Star, NCsoft revealed its new project in secret development - Lineage Eternal. Being the newest title of the Lineage series, Lineage Eternal sets classes on the basis of Lineage with the storyline 200 years after that of Lineage.

Similar to MU Online 2, Lineage Eternal only released a video at this year's G-Star too. As the adopted top view caused heated discussion among players, NCsoft said that Lineage Eternal didn't learn from any other games but inherited the style of Lineage. According to NCsoft, the greatest highlight of Lineage Eternal lies in the in-game sieges and the unique control system totally resting on the mouse.

Mgame's Yulgang 2, which was first unveiled in 2009, didn't make its official appearance till this year's G-Star. Different from the prequel, Yulgang 2 promoted itself focusing on the characters 8 heads tall, and caught many a player's eyes.

Though Yulgang 2's trial version released at G-Star 2011 boasted ordinary graphics & content and its first CBT was delayed and involved substantial bugs, it's still not time to say whether the game is worth expecting or not, as it just underwent the first CBT.
