Japan kicked off the fourth PC Game Show in Akibahara, Tokyo on Dec. 24, where SEGA showcasedits upcoming MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2 which is to be released in 2012. It is learnt that Phantasy Star Online 2 will start the second Alpha test early next year and around 50,000 playerswill be recruited then.
In the PC Game Show, SEGA also revealed that two new in-game contents, MYROOM System and ITEMLABO System,would debut in the second Alpha test. In addition to the news of the upcoming test, a new opening movie was also displayed during the game show, showcasing the gameplay and the game's new theme music.
MYROOM System can be regarded as an individual place owned by playersin the game. Each Room can accept up to 12 players at the same time and a player can have 3 rooms at most. Inside the Room, players are free to arrange theirfurniture. If they don't like the way the room looks, they can simply redecorate it by adjusting some settings. According to the officialdescription, it is a place where "Players can make their imagination come true".
