After 7 months of negotiation with SK Telecom, NCsoft has finally wholly acquired Ntreev Soft by taking over 76% share of the firm at KRW108 billion(US$96.7M).
Sticking to Traditional Concept Results in NCsoft's Failure in Casual MMO Market?

Ntreev is well-known in the English market for titles including MMORPG Trickster Online, Power Rangers Online and popular online golf game Pangya. Meanwhile Ntreev Soft has been a strong casual games developer owns online horse racing game Alicia and Baseball Manager Online , which is a top earning game in Korea with sales hitting over USD 2.5 million on the record month. Ntreev is also an established online games publisher in Korea, with the most recent titles Heroes of Newerth (HoN) and Age of Wulin Korea.

Ncsoft has been well-known as a strong MMORPG developer with Lineage, Lineage II, AION, Blade & Soul, and Guild Wars 2. 2012 is a big year for NCsoft that Blade & Soul confirmed to begin commercial service before mid 2012 later this year, and Guild Wars 2 confirmed to launch before the year ends. However, it is a failure for Ncsoft in aspect of casual online games with its past games such as Toy Strikers, Exteel, Point Blank, Atrix, Dragonica, and Punch Monster.

NCsoft seems never give up the casual online games market. This acquisition would satisfy its long-cherished wish.
