2012 has come and many delayed blockbusters will come out this year. It is not hard to imagine how fierce the competition in the Korean game market will be. The competition pattern is shown below, please check it out!

RecommendationSouth Korea Has Entered A K-Game Era

  1. Works of Celebrities: Blade & Soul vs. ArcheAge

The games produced by famous developers are certain to be a focus of attention. Naturally, Blade & Soul's developer NCsoft and ArcheAge's developer XL Games have people's ears burning. That is because Jake Song, XL Games' CEO and the chief developer of ArcheAge once worked for NCsoft, while the chief developer of Blade & Soul is Jake Song's former colleague Mr. Kim.

Blade & Soul that allows players to use martial arts in dobok will compete with ArcheAge featuring exquisite graphics in terms of visual effects first. As NCsoft claimed, Blade & Soul reached a new level of graphics every time it met the audience. Though it just launched two tests, Blade & Soul has been titled the Most Anticipated MMO in South Korea and gotten Korean players immersed in the game thoroughly.

It is only ArcheAge that can pose a threat to Blade & Soul. Currently, ArcheAge has entered its 4th CBT. Boosting the third-generation MMORPG and beautiful scenes, ArcheAge is likely to appear on the market earlier than Blade & Soul. Apart from real graphics and Cry 3 Engine, ArcheAge enables players to choose from more than 100 classes, build houses, plant trees and grass, which gives people a sense of relaxation in comparison with Blade & Soul.

  2. Works of Celebrities: S2(Sector Slug) vs. Metro Conflict

The two games are also made by famous developers. Based on the confrontation between gangsters and agents, S2 is a brand new title from Seung-hoon Baek, who developed the first Korean MMOFPS Sudden Attack. S2 will completely overthrow players' knowledge for MMOFPS characters through in-game cops who have tattoos and wear a hip-pop cap, a gold necklace and jeans.

Besides, on the basis of Sudden Attack, S2 has a wider variety of systems and a gun transformation system.

While Metro Conflict is developed by Redduck that released A.V.A in 2008 and published by NHN. It is a FPS game set in future USA and depicts what will happen in 2020 there.

Metro Conflict was well received in its first CBT, for it has easy controls, enabling players to master the game quickly and brings players a new understanding of FPS gameplay via a new concept of dual wielding weapons.

  3. New AOS Games: Chaos Online vs. League of Legends
