The annual list of top MMOs has been announced in China, with top two MMOs from South Korea, Neowiz's Crossfire and Nexon's Dungeon Fighter Online. Having 3 million concurrent users, CrossFire has become the NO.1 MMO in Mainland China, followed by Dungeon Fighter Online which has created a record of 2.6 million concurrent users. Based on the above fact, Korean media demonstrated the unshakable position of Korean game industry and pointed out the overseas market was the real target of the Korean game industry in 2012.
South Korea Has Entered A K-Game Era

Generally speaking, if a MMO has over 100 thousand concurrent users in South Korea, this MMO can be called a success. That is because the Korean market is comparatively small. If a MMO can go into the Chinese market successfully, it can achieve tenfold profits. In addition to China, South Korea's overseas markets also include Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
Driven by great profits, Korean game companies have thrown themselves into the overseas markets one after another. Nexon bears the brunt. Nexon got listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange days ago, which laid a solid foundation for it to march into the overseas markets next year.

NCsoft will be certain to play a leading role next year thanks to its highly popular Blade & Soul. Though its another blockbuster AION suffered setbacks in China, it doesn't affect people's confidence in Blade & Soul. Now NCsoft plans to carry out the 3nd CBT for Blade & Soul early next year, and after that OBT will be launched immediately in South Korea. Moreover, Blade & Soul will appear in China, Japan, North America and Europe at the same time.

Neowiz that firmly occupies the first place in Chinese MMO market will expand its overseas market next year by 3 in-house developed MMOs, i.e. military FPS MMO Dizzel, MMORPG Bless and Ein. Additionally, Neowiz will observe the European and North American markets and wait for an opportunity to enter.
Another old-line company CJ E&M has also proclaimed that it will retrieve the domestic market and advance to the overseas markets. CJ E&M was once the third largest game company in South Korea, but it was gradually out of people' sight for it couldn't make MMORPGs. It is time for CJ E&M to say goodbye to the past, because its new MMORPG LIFT, developed by its North American subsidiary will be put into South Korean market in early 2012. In terms of the overseas markets, its FPS MMO S2(Sector Slug) and Ghosts'n Goblins Online will act as the pioneers to enter the Chinese, Japanese, North American and Southeast Asian Markets.
Blade & Soul, ArchAge and LIFT Delayed to Early 2012

Korean game companies seem to be confident in dominating the global gaming market. Let's just wait and see whether they can achieve this lofty goal.
