A Complete Review of Wizardry Online (Part I)
If you don't prepare yourself when playing the game alone, you can challenge later. But if you are in a group, you will often have a fear of death and desperately want to go back to the ground. Surely, other games cannot give you such feelings.
In Wizardry Online, life is cheap. Characters may be killed by monsters, slip and drop to death, killed by mechanism after opening a treasure chest, burnt to death by erupting flames, fall into a trap and lose life, etc. In such circumstances, you have to pray for a high success rate of rebirth.
Whisper, Pray, Sing and Chant – These words will appear when characters revive in Wizardry series and even Wizardry Online. Press the Revival key and a cinematic trailer will show together with these words.
Regardless of any attack, not being hit is the best
This game is similar to 3D action games, for it provides non-targeting combat mode with the concept of direction and distance.
Players can knock down enemies without a wound using BACKSTEP or shields to parry. Press the left mouse button to launch common attacks, and press it more times to form continuous attacks. Use the keyboard to release skills quickly after dragging them to the shortcut bar.
In-game skills are shown in the form of a tree. Along with the increase of character level, players can obtain points to learn skills. Melee combat skills and magical skills will consume OD and MP respectively. The more points a skill consumes, the longer cooldown it will have. It is very crucial for players to use skills in combat.
Players can undergo class promotion and transfer a part of skills to other classes when their soul level reaches 5. However, it is very difficult to increase soul level to 5. Since the commercial release of Wizardry Online, nobody has succeeded in class transfer.
A fight against a boss

Each labyrinth is divided into several districts. Players have to remove a certain seal to go deeper. At that moment, they will be teleported to the decisive battle field. Only by defeating the boss there can they remove the seal successfully and keep moving forward.
