DUST 514 is an open world shooter but the arena feature that due in the early 2013 expansion makes the game suitable for eSports events. Called Gladiator Arena, this feature allows players to fight each other in the popular modes like capture-the-flag and solo deathmatches. Both EVE and DUST 514 players can watch the fights in their games and they can also place bets on the matches.

Since announced, DUST 514 hasn't revealed too much about the PvE gameplay. In the Fanfest, CCP tells that there will be PvE component that consists of a survival game mode that throws players to the fight with AI enemies, say, "DUST 514's equivalent of EVE Online's rogue drones."

Fans who attend Fanfest 2012 will be able to join next month's DUST 514 beta while other players will be selected and invited between April and June. Currently no firm release date for the game.
