Customization is always a big part in shooting games, and in Blacklight: Retribution, this part seems to be expanded even further by the developer Zombie Studios. The latest developer diary explains how extensive the customization is.
The customization, according to the developers, isn't just change the model or visual look of a weapon, it affects the gameplay. There are a lot of items can be added to or changed in a gun, receiver, barrel, muzzle, hanger, camo, etc. The developer also confirms that there will be female characters in the game, and you can even show on your outfit the achievements you get in game. As for character skills, you have full control of how you are going to invest the skill points. You can spend points to melee weapon skill so that your knife can be more deadly, and if you prefer to play supportive role, you may invest more points into healing abilities.
