2017 is going to be a pretty decent year in gaming. There is a bunch of cool game launching in September already, and October isn't going to be any worse.

We know nobody (outside of a Gallifreyans) has unlimited time, so to save you the trouble of looking for the games yourself we have compiled a list of top 10 titles you'll get to play come Q3. Let's get to it!

Forza Motorsport 7 (October 3)

A long-running racing franchise comes back yet again this year, with a staggering number of... pretty much everything. Reportedly it's going to boast a garage of over 700 cars for you to pick from. If this number seems unreasonable, it's probably because it is, but that never stopped game developers before, and it apparently isn't going to stop them now.

Among other unreasonable numbers, we're apparently going to get at least 200 track configurations in 30 different locations. That's undeniably impressive.

Add to that stories of better, dynamic weather systems, and even some degree of control over our avatar's appearance and we're getting a racing game that's going to give us long hours of gameplay. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

Forza Motorsport 7 is coming on October 3 this year, so polish your helmets and dust off your gloves.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War (October 10)

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor was a game equipped with an outstanding Nemesis system and a combat system with gloriously brutal animations. The former allowed you to forge your own, procedurally generated nemesis, with strengths, weaknesses, and incredibly hammy attitude. The latter allowed you to eviscerate every orc on the way to your nemesis and then watch his head fly off into the sunset.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is going even bigger. Especially the Nemesis system has evolved, now allowing you to forge not only blood feuds, but also friendships of sorts. No longer will the orcs you mystically dominate be just witless puppets: they'll have as much personality as any of the Nemeses you end up having.

There's also going to be loot, replacing the linear, predefined item progression from the first game, and the sets teased so far look pretty sweet.

Talion's revenge quest in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War will reignite on October 10. Ash nazg durbatulûk my foot.
