The video game follows the original storyline of the play, with minor branching from it in the form of random battles. The choice of a JRPG genre is based on the needs to show a story up first, with the combat and the gameplay being second in line, but adding the important flavor that will keep the audience happy, and will ensure fun. The developers wish to create an interactive play, with a dreamlike atmosphere that will draw the users in and with, or without even knowing, will interest them in what their experiencing, potentially engaging them in further research and consuming of the marvel that is William Shakespeare.

Controls and challenges in the game are not hard, since the goal is to draw people into the world of Shakespeare, and give a never before seen alternative to those that already love Shakespeare, as well as to appeal the game to younger audiences. No serious violence is present, and fights are not too numerous. Those fights that do occur have a comedic and lighthearted effect, with no blood being drawn.
