What names will pop up into your mind when someone mentions Sci-Fi/space mobile games? And do you like this type of games? In this week’s collection, we’re going to talk about five Sci-Fi/space mobile games. They are not all new games, but they all have alien or space elements and most of all, the gameplay is fun, the soundtrack is great and the story is interesting. If none of these games live up to your expectations, you may tell us your suggestions in the comments section.
OPUS: The Day We Found Earth
The year is 160,000, and humans have moved away from Earth for some time now. It is, however, the time for them to rediscover the planet and go back home. This is the main story in OPUS: The Day We Found Earth. The game is all about a mission to locate Earth. Players play as the robot, tasked to follow the instructions to locate the Mother Earth in the vast spread of the galaxy.
After an introduction to the storyline, players start out with suggested coordinates to look for compatible planets. There are three types of difficulty levels: story, normal and challenge. Story Level offers no coordinates for each star and allows players to focus more on the storyline than the puzzles. Normal Level steps it up with players able to be lost in the vastness of space, yet still have the hints and guidance option to fall back upon, which is not available in the Challenge Level.
OPUS: The Day We Found Earth is developed by SIGONO, an independent game developer from Taiwan. The game was nominated for Best Meaningful Play at the 12th International Mobile Gaming Awards on February 16th, 2016.
