There are not many new games coming out this year while there are pretty some ones shut down. Some of them are even not reaching one year of operation. Unfortunately, players of ASTA and ELOA from Webzen will have to say goodbye to these two new games next month.

ASTA: The War of Tears and Winds is shutting down on October 4th and ELOA (Elite Lord of Alliance) will be wiped out from gamelist in mid-October. It is such a sudden halt that we still couldn’t believe! I remembered this March we had gone through a pleasant OBT of ASTA and gamers on IMGamer were reflecting positive feedback, why did they decide to quit so shortly? Webzen said “but sadly the recent player numbers are not sufficient for us to be able to continue the service” and we found ASTA KR server failed last year too.

Players of Asta who purchased currency within the previous month will be refunded, while ELOA players will have the game’s currency reimbursed in the form of bonus Wcoin usable on any of Webzen’s other titles. It seems like players are getting more and more fastidious towards new games these days and developers should bring in more creativity to meet their expectation. Farewell ASTA and ELOA!
