The MOBA title Lord of Vermilion Arena entered the Open Beta last June. Sadly, Square Enix today has announced the shutting down of Lord of Vermilion Arena, which has become the second title disappearing from Square Enix’s list this year. The previous one is Gunslinger Stratos Reloaded which closed its service on March 29th.

The official announcement says that it’s difficult to continue the game considering the current state of the service. And Lord of Vermilion Arena’s service will end on June 30th.

Basically, Lord of Vermilion Arena offers RPG-style character creation, forming card decks with summons, and using said summons to fight. And it features a 7 vs 7 battle format. Players control a number of monster cards from 5 tribes, which can be summoned on the battlefield for actual combat. It’s a pity to report this sad news.
