It wasn’t long ago that Digital Extremes announced their road map for new content coming to Warframe, their hit free-to-play title. This week, they released their newest update Sanctuary that it is now live for anyone on the PC, although Xbox One and PS4 players will have to wait. Those looking to check out the update have a lot of content in store.
Digital Extremes notes that Chroma is “A master of the deadly elements, Chroma can alter damage output by changing energy coloring.” Sounds pretty feisty to me. Here are Chroma’s powers you can utilize in battle:
Spectral Scream: Exhale a deep breath of elemental destruction. Chroma’s energy color determines the element.
Elemental Ward: Depending on Chroma’s elemental alignment, an offensive area-of-effect is created. Chroma and its nearby allies are imbued with defensive energy.
Vex Armor: When shields are hit, Chroma’s armor grows stronger, when health takes a hit, weapon damage increases. Active for a limited time, maximum increases correspond to rank.
Effigy: Chroma turns his pelt into a massive sentry that strengthens nearby allies and engulfs enemies in elemental attacks.
Overall Chroma sounds pretty neat, almost like a deadly mood ring that I would not want to tango with. Plus, considering the unique skill set, I can see this Warframe being pretty diverse in the field of battle if played correctly.
Those of you wanting more PVP in Warframe got some great content additions thrown your way this time around. Entitled “PVP 2.0” Digital Extremes added in a new PVP mode called Cephalon Capture. In Cephalon Capture, players try their hand at three new maps, and conquer a variety of challenges. With changes also added to current PVP frameworks, the addition of a new mode is certainly appealing. If you need a little guidance, Teshin, a new PVP guide and the Conclave Syndicate have established their presence in the Relay. Those skilled in PVP, can find Syndicate rewards through the Conclave Syndicate.
The Little Things
All the content doesn’t end with PVP 2.0 though. Also in the update came a new game mode, where you can create a squad of eight Tenno and worth through challenges. Along with new quest additions, new weapons, a new relay room, a new enemy called the Grineer, and more. If you wish to read the full pach notes you can view them by clicking here.
Overall, since this update is quite large, all of you fans of Warframe have quite a lot of fun to be had. Since I wasn’t a huge fan of Warframe due to its past lack of PVP, this update has got me quite interested in the game, and I might have to download it to check everything out.
