You may have to wait for the iOS version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition, but you don't have to wait for the 0.7.0 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition, because it has arrived after about a month of delays due to bugs. The wait has come to end now.
When it comes to Minecraft Pocket Realms, world and server creation will not be going live until next week according to a tweet from Johan as they are still ironing out a few bugs. Minecraft Pocket Realms should be considered an Alpha right now in terms of status. If fact the entire update is considered an Alpha so if you find bugs, please report them here. We will be trying to get our servers up as soon as possible so if you haven't applied for the whitelists for our servers yet, you can do so over on our forums right now.
So here is the rundown of everything coming with the 0.7.0 update, to refresh your memory that is:
Redstone and the mod API won't be arriving for some time though to Minecraft Pocket Realms nor will the ability to both PC and mobile clients to connect to the same server, if that even becomes a reality. Redstone and the mod API are both big features and right now fixing any bugs for Minecraft Pocket Realms is the main focus. Not everyone will get servers either. Those are being opened up for short periods of time to slowly allow for testing. Eventually they will be open full-time to everyone in a few weeks or so.
You can download the update at any time now that it is available on Google Play.
