SWTOR Announces Rise of the Hutt Cartel Expansion

BioWare has announced the first digital expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Titled Rise of the Hutt Cartel and set to launch in spring 2013, the expansion will introduce new story content, a fresh planet called Makeb, and raise the level cap to 55.
EA says: "Rise of the Hutt Cartel will send players to Makeb, a dual-faction planet where players will continue their battles with the merciless Hutt Cartel. During their journey, players will meet new allies, make new enemies and uncover the cutting-edge technology on this vibrant planet."
BioWare Austin executive producer Jeff Hickman added: "We know our fans want to keep experiencing the classic Star Wars storylines they love, and that's what we're delivering with the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion."
Rise of the Hutt Cartel is priced at $19.99 for free players and at $9.99 for subscribers. Anyone that pre-orders before January 7th, 2013 will also receive five days of early access to the new fully-voiced story content.
