Lineage Eternal first unveiled by NCsoft at G-Star 2011 did surprise players, not only because it's a new Lineage title following Lineage 2 that was made public 9 years ago, but also because it's similar to Diablo in the style. Lots of Lineage fans were so disappointed, as they didn't witness the arrival of Lineage 3 after waiting for years but saw Lineage Eternal display a Diablo style. Many even got irritated: "Is this still a Lineage game? Is this still a NCsoft MMO?"
Nevertheless, an overall view of the online game market indicates that more and more online games are appealing to the Diablo style. So, what does the Diablo style refer to?
