One of the most attractive parts of G-Star is to let players have a chance to sneak peek at those upcoming games. This year is no exception. During G-Star 2011, many online games known as "Blockbusters of 2012" rolled out, heating the booths of several giant companies.

Guild Wars 2: Offered trial to a maximum of 600 gamers each day.
NCsoft has planned to release its brand new MMORPG Guild Wars 2 in 2012. In order to allow as many players as possible to try out this game at G-Star 2011, NCsoft prepared 48 computers at their booth and gave each fan 40 minutes to experience the demo. However, the demo only offered one playable race -- Human at G-Star 2011, though there would be 5 races and 8 classes in the final version.
According to NCsoft, up to 600 players can experience Guild Wars 2 at their booth each day during G-Star 2011.

Guild Wars 2 was developed by Arena Net, NCsoft's game studio based in North America. This project began as early as in 2007, which means the game has been in development for four years.
The chief designer of Guild Wars 2 said the objective of Guild Wars 2 was to let players have a colorful experience through its revolutionary quest system and diversified gaming world. As for the trial, the goal for players was to join forces and then defeat Boss Centaur who had been greatly weakened in the demo.
NCsoft unveiled on Oct. 10 that the closed beta of Guild Wars 2 could be expected within this year in North America. However, the time for the official release is still uncertain now. Some said it won't come until early next year.
