Euclideon's Unlimited Detail: Scam Or Revolution?

The possibilities of the future can sometimes be a little hard to accept. With all the discussion about Euclideon's Unlimited Detail graphics engine, there have been some big names within the industry saying it can't be done. We have seen their 1 year demo video, and an interview with Euclideon, but people were still wary.

Euclideon as a company are very secretive, and this in turn might have been one of the major causes for doubt. They have however opened up their doors to the media one last time before they will be making another disappearance until their Unlimited Detail SDK is complete. In doing this they have presented a real time demonstration of Unlimited Detail on a gaming laptop in which the software only uses 1 core of the i7 CPU.

This video interview also introduces us to some of the team at Euclideon, and manages to finally throw out the names of the people backing them. After this there will be a media blackout, so if you are sick of seeing these articles; you're about to get a small break.

Things are starting to look much more appealing, and there has definitely been some questions answered. It is still becoming increasingly exciting to see what kind of influence this will have on the industry, once they harness the power of the GPU; amazing things will be accomplished. If their last video is anything to go by, they should only disappear for a few months before we see a release for the SDK. What do you think, is this enough proof that it isn't a scam?
