It is safe to say that there has been a lot of buzz once again about Euclideon's Unlimited Detail SDK. This however doesn't mean everyone is happy. A lot of people have been saying this is a hoax, and is not possible. The other group of people looks for the potential, and grasp at this with hope more than anything.
Atom Technology: The Gaming Revolution

To try and give a little more insight into Unlimited Detail, I had the chance to interview the Aussie Tech Company and I hope this sheds a little more light on some of the concerns amongst the community. While not all the questions could be answered, the final question does provide a simple way of explaining the technology.

In your video you claim that an SDK will be available in a few months, will there be another waiting period for hardware that can render this technology?
No we aren't waiting for hardware to be made; we are doing fine in software.
Has there been any discussion with companies such as AMD or Nvidia about creating hardware to support this technology?
I cannot comment on that.
Will the SDK consist of a free for non-commercial use license?
We want to let everyone use it, and will do what we can to empower indie developers.
