Over 90 people were killed in the massacre in Norway 2 days ago and the suspect Anders Behring Breivik has confessed the attacks. While the 32-year-old right-wing nationalist and his strange value are blamed for the tragedy, it seems that video games are involved and become the complicity. This time, Modern Warfare 2 and WOW(again, WOW...) were used.

Anders Behring Breivik

Anders Behring Breivik writes on a manifesto "I just bought Modern Warfare 2, the game. It is probably the best military simulator out there and it's one of the hottest games this year. ... I see MW2 more as a part of my training-simulation than anything else. I've still learned to love it though and especially the multiplayer part is amazing. You can more or less completely simulate actual operations."

For WOW, according to the manifesto, it's used as cover. The original word says that "using social taboos is an extremely effective method from preventing people who know you well from digging too much." The taboo Breivik mentions is WOW, as he says "F[or] example, tell them that you have started to play World of Warcraft or any other online MMO game and that you wish to focus on this for the next months/year."

However, whether the manifesto is written by Anders Behring Breivik is unconfirmed. And if you want to read it, click here.

Again, video games are used in crime, who should be blamed?
