Guild Wars 2: Two New Videos Give You a More Detailed Look at the Dungeons

Just two days ago, ArenaNet gave us a deep look at the underwater combat (check out the underwater combat video here) and dungeons in the highly-anticipated upcoming MMO Guild Wars 2. Thanks to GuildCast, we have found two new dungeon videos as well as a nice article regarding what it is like in the catacombs, from the perspective as a former Guild Wars player.

Guild Wars 2 - Ghosts of Ascalon Dungeon Intro

The first cinematic video shows the Char Rytlock, who gives us a brief view of the history of Ascalon, then explains what's going on and why players are heading in to the catacombs. In a nut shell, the videos focus on the assault on the Catacombs, to stop the Norn, Eir, from stirring up the vengeful citizens of Ascalon. While the second video showcases some actual awesome gameplay footage. You can check it out after the cut.

Also, during the travel in the world of Tyria, GuildCast found some interest thing as some enemies they met were true Guild Wars 1 characters.

In our travels we fought a slew of ghosts, many of whom made me laugh out loud because they are true Guild Wars 1 characters. There was a monk slinging Ray of Judgement - and I can't really complain, I guess we sort of deserve that for the way we are currently abusing that skill. I can confirm that there are mesmers in Guild Wars 2. Unfortunately they're not playable because they are dead mesmers in ghost form nailing me with Blackout. Still. Mesmers.
