Sony SOE Offline

Sony is going through a very bad time. PlayStation Network has been unavailable since 20 April. The company promised that it would get the PlayStation network up-and-running again this week. Meanwhile, Sony Online Entertainment(SOE) has admitted that it has lost 12,700 customer credit card numbers and personal details from 24.6 million accounts have been compromised in the same security breach that took PlayStation Network offline last month.

According to the press release, "SOE will grant customers 30 days of additional time on their subscriptions, in addition to compensating them one day for each day the system is down. It is also in the process of outlining a "make good" plan for its PlayStation®3 MMOs (DC Universe Online and Free Realms). More information will be released this week. " Sony Online Entertainment titles include EverQuest II, DC Universe Online and FreeRealms. And Facebook-based Fortune League were unavailable as well as a result.
