Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2 from NCsoft still can't enter the commercial service stage this year, and the struggle between NHN and NCsoft does draw a great deal of attention from players and the game industry. Lots of South Korean experts think that NHN can compete with NCsoft by means of TERA. So, with NCsoft's Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2 unveiled progressively, what are the chances of NHN's overpowering NCsoft on earth?

NHN hit sales of 422.25 billion won in 2010, 5.5% less than in 2009. Things also didn't go so well in NHN's overseas offices last year. For example, its Chinese office was adjusted, i.e. NHN withdrew its investment in China-based OurGame; NHN USA only reached sales of 2.09 million won in the fourth quarter, 6.9% less than in the third quarter and down by 14.1% over the same period of 2009.

On the contrary, NCsoft, with no new projects pushed out, enjoyed sales of 514.7 billion won and an operating profit of 250.7 billion won in South Korea last year. In 2010, NCsoft achieved sales of 649.7 billion won and an operating profit of 242.9 billion won in total.
