WoW Clone, A Thoughtless Name... By Benjamin He keep an eye of the things going around the communities in the mmo games, and general games, also getting whatever info he can get into his hands, then for some reason, something new pops up out of his head. Maybe one day something amazing appears from this process, after all this goes on and on, for now...

Hey peeps, recently some guys over the net said that the so call WoW fanbase calling every new mmo a WoW clone is dying because people is no longer using the term WoW Clone anymore...

I haven't done a statistical survey to see if this is true, but on the surface it looks like some people still use this small term with derogatory connotations to undermine new games...

WoW is a social hub for a lot of people, some of them play because their friends play the game, and your friends play because you play... I know some people who don't play WoW because they enjoy it, they play it because their friends play it...

What the hell does that means? It means that people who play WoW and call other games WoW clones do it because of a social phenomenon called Social Inertia lol...

I don't know if Social Inertia is accepted by any psychiatrist association, but I am sure that the behavior behind a lot of people saying that this game is a WoW clone or not is basically some sort of Inertia... (That's right, ya... that Inertia, like the one in physics...) They have been doing that for years and they keep doing it because they have been pulling crap out of their mouths for years...

Sometimes people do things over and over again without even thinking about what they are doing, nor using their heads to analyze if what they are doing or saying is true anymore... WoW by itself is a clone of other older games like Everquest or Ultima Online lol!!!!
