[Exclusive] WEBZEN’s new FPS game BATTERY Online, Pre-OBT Begins in Korea

Webzens Modern Military FPS 'Battery Online'(BATTERY, Battle Territory) has opened official homepage and its Pre-OBT will start in Korea on September 2nd, 2010.

Webzen will begin Pre-OBT service from Sep. 2nd ~ 17th, with 10,000 selected focus group users and users. Pre-OBT will start from 6PM to 12AM during weekdays, and 3PM to 12AM during weekends. (Korean time) (GTM+9)

During Pre-OBT starting on Sep. 2nd, users will experience 3 battle maps with 'Demolition', 'Bot', and other variety modes, unique Quest System, about 10 different skills and various series of 'Trophy Items' which are distinctive from other online FPS games.

Webzen also has announced information about 'Demolition' mode which will be updated on Sep. 4th, 2010.

'Battery Online's 'Demolition' mode have 2 separate teams where one side is 'Attack Team' and the other side is 'Defense Team', from there each team will have a mission to destroy target or stop others from destroying this target. They will be able to choose bomb carrier and variety settings available for the mode, and these teams change sides in a cycle which keeps team balance for the game.

Webzen's Tony Kim(Global Publishing, VP) said "We have checked game's quality, optimization, and service stability as our number one priority, and through small and large sized tests, we have been preparing a lots of contents which seems to be lacking in other FPS games." And "We are planning to have our official OBT launching within this year in Korea, then we will look for its new market place to the other countries.
