FFXIV Open Beta on September 1st (Update with Pre-release Trailer)

You've known before that Final Fantasy XIV will kick off Open Beta in early September, but you may not expect to learn that it will start on the first day of September. But that's true, FFXIV official twitter confirms that the Open Beta will begin on September 1st at 2:00 GMT, (August 31 at 19:00 PDT)! It may be the greatest news for Final Fantasy fans in August. What's more, the official released a pre-release trailer, enjoy and get ready for OB!

About the beta login

The Open Beta will be online continuously for 24 hours a day but at the beginning of the beta, the number of players to login is limited but will increase as the adjustments are performed on server load. So, at the first few hours, perhaps the first few days, you have to 'fight' for a chance to login.

About character transferring

You'll be able to transfer your character's name(only the name) in OB to official release if the World you choose in official release is the same as that in OB, otherwise you can't transfer and probably won't be able to create the same name in the new World.
