Neverwinter

In Neverwinter, players choose to become one of five classic D&D classes (Fighter. Wizard. Rogue. Ranger. Cleric) and team up with friends or computer-controlled allies to form five-person co-op groups. Players also create their own storylines and quests by using "Forge" system. The game will only support online play, the world, or the Neverwinter city is a public space where you will meet other players and form your group. The dungeons you enter are private areas that only available for your team. According to the interview with Cryptic's COO Jack Emmert, "Players will have lots of controls over whether something's public or private." You can explore the Neverwinter city and the places around it. The developer promise to add more contents into the game after it is released.

Neverwinter

On being asked why Cryptic don't make Neverwinter to a traditional MMORPG, Jack Emmert says that the concept of a co-operative RPG is easier than a MMO, and they want to change the way after Champions online and Star Trek online. Cryptic learned lesson from the two games, accroding to Jack Emmert, they had different teams to make different parts of the MMO before and that made it hard to change after the launch, but this won't happen in Neverwinter.

Jack explained that after Champions and Star Trek they realized that the studio had to shift gears from the typical MMO template. This new style of game is working with a tested engine and allows Cryptic to make the games they want. After the feedback they got from their most recent MMOs Jack explained that the studio is now moving in a new direction, It's a brand new Cryptic. From MMORPG.com
