Anime-style MMORPG DIVINA, developed by Taiwan-based PlayCoo, has announced that its first closed beta test will begin in Japan soon and the CBT testers will be recruited from August 10th. 4gamer editors were honored to be invited to experience the game in advance and they were generous to share their trial feelings with all players, including Double Cast System, Soulmate System, Monster Cast System, Territory System.
An Anime-style World
The game screenshots and concept art tell that DIVINA is an anime-style MMORPG involving both western and Japanese elements as well as Norse myths.
In DIVINA, as a result of the gods' war, the world was damaged and went to destruction. Players would come across a girl and start a journey to save the world together.
World Background
The DIVINA world is divided into three layers based on the world tree.
* Gods' Upper Layer
* Humans' Middle Layer
* Devils' Lower Layer
Thousands of years ago, a vicious god Roki betrayed Odin, the ruler of the upper layer. Thus, a war broke out between them and the world fell into chaos. Finally, Odin gained the victory after going through all kinds of hardships, and Roki was deprived of his power and exiled to the lower layer. However, Roki didn't lose all of his power. He swore to take revenge on Odin and accumulated power while waiting for an opportunity. Knowing Roki's evil intention, gods intended to use the power of the world creator, the World Tree, to stop his plot.
However, not all people understood that this might lead the world to perdition. At that time, a miraculous girl Clarice appeared in the middle layer and she would accompany players to save the world together.
Both characters and NPCs present an anime style.
DIVINA doesn't offer races, but five playable classes, including Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, Ranger and Ninja. In addition to characters and NPCs, even the monsters look cute and lovely. Never can a ferocious monster be found in the game.
