Extensive Pet and Mount System - Interview about Zentia

We've just took a simple chat with ChangYou US about its latest flagship title Zentia, which is debuted at this year's E3.

1. Could you make a brief introduction about yourself and Zentia?

Hi, I am Susan Revelt, Senior Producer for Zentia.  I'm really excited to get to work on Zentia, because it is a unique game in the world of free-to-play games. It is based on a funny fairytale. Zentia is designed and developed by Pixel Soft especially for the North American market.

2. Could you tell us more about Zentia?

Zentia has many wonderful features. Here are some highlights:
- Humorous game play - There are exciting surprises around every corner such as ‘helpful' immortals showing up with advice and opportunities to improve your world. Fair warning: when a tiny little crustacean threatens to kick your butt, it is best to take it seriously.
- Pet /Mount system is extensive in Zentia. Most of the monsters encountered can be captured and trained. Some captured monsters can be trained as mounts. The largest dragon mount can seat up to 10 players.   
- Heavenly Test - requires community participation from the entire sub-server population to unlock additional content.  Let me give you a quick overview of what is involved for the first stage. The first player to reach level 40 triggers the first Heavenly Event. From there the entire community must work together to complete a variety of quests to open the Heavenly Test instance. A group of at least 25 level 40 players gets one chance every 24 hours to complete this instance.  All group members who complete the final instance get special titles that confer bonuses and their names inscribed on the temple walls for all eternity.

3. What makes this game different from Dragon Oath and Blade Wars?

Zentia has fully rendered 3D graphics, humorous game play, hundreds of quests, and a user interface that is state of the art for the MMORPG game industry.

4. How long have you been working on this project?

Pixel Soft began development about three years ago. About 4 months ago Zentia was turned over to ChangYou to fine tune the dialog, user interface, and game play.

Closed beta begins July 8th at 4:00pm PST.
