Let's get ready to rumble!! MMO games have never ceased to entertain players. The games are so great and enjoyable. One thing that excites players from MMO gaming is the player versus player (PvP) system that more often than not, can be found in online games. One cannot find an MMO game without it. It is a very essential part of multiplayer online gaming system. The thing about PvP is, it is a way of players showcasing their characters build and capabilities when battling fellow players. Players usually test their skills, effectiveness of their weapons and who is the better player. It is a kind of diversion that players need to do whenever they got tired of leveling up. PvP, most of the time, does not affect players' statistics or experience level. It is regarded as past time for players. Somehow it can also release stress by pounding some players in the game. Man, it feels good. This is so true especially when you are dealing with the player who you hated the most. Players should try PvP once in a while so that the experience of the game will be much more exciting.

Many MMO game developers employ different approaches that players usually do when engaging in a PvP battle. But there are some that are being done with the players themselves. The thing is, as a player had an encounter with another player, that is consider as a PvP scenario. So it is better to list down the different possibilities where PvP action can occur.

Playing-mode PvP
This type of PvP is a very typical one. While a player is in his or her gaming mode, another player attacks him or her without provocation or anything. So, once the first blow of a player has initiated, the battle is on, until who goes down. Most players treat this as fun and a prankster type of PvP. Player kill or PK, is really rampant on this mode of PvP. Simply because it does not affect the players' statistics. So for the players, it does not matter if he or she got killed by a fellow player. Anyway it is just a part of the game to ease tension and stress while playing.

One on One Realm Mode PvP
To eliminate distractions or other players mixing it up in a PvP battle, game developers use a virtual zoning that only two players can go at each other's throat. No one can help them. It tends to practice fairness in terms of PvP battle. The system is pretty much simple to follow. If a player wants to have a battle with another player, he simply ask a permission to engage in a battle against the other player. If the other player acknowledges the challenge, then the battle begins. Without diversion or divided attentions, both players can concentrate on the task of killing each other. Chances are, player with a better skills and has faster way to execute the attacks, will win the duel. Though battling against another player does not affect most of the statistics of a player, some MMO games, introduce a ranking system which for every PvP win by a player, his or her rank will be promoted. Or there could even be a prize. So players can be encouraged to engage in a PvP battle. Who knows, he or she might get rare in-game item that can be an assistance to the player.

Guild Wars PvP
Game developers see to it that in the game they are making, it ought to have warring factions. That is why every MMO game has a guild system. Players can recruit fellow players to be in the guild. There are several reasons why a player must join a guild. The first reason is a novice player needs help or a guide to know what the game is all about and how does he plays it. Another reason can be for seeking to be a party mate to make the character levels up faster. The next reason may be he or she need monetary and item support. Higher guild mates tend to have golds, weapons and armors that a player needs to improve the character he or she is playing. Gamers cannot imagine an MMO game without a guild system. So for an MMO game to be participated by savvy gamers, it must have a guild system

When it comes to gaming, competitiveness is the key why MMO games are well participated by a lot of players world-wide. There are the human versus human factors which make the game full of emotions and mind sets. From tactical way of defeating the enemy to the intensity of winning the battle. It is a great feeling to be in it. So that kind of experience is what gaming is all about.
