[Part 1]Tera 3rd Closed Beta Test Updated Details Preview

Developed by Korea-based Bluehole Studio and published by NHN Hangame, the non-targeting MMORPG TERA will launch its third closed beta test lasting from February 26th to March 7th in Korea.

TERA was tested in terms of quality and game content in the previous second CBT. According to the test results, its completion degree has been higher than expected. However, its non-targeting combat mode brought lots of inconveniences, especially the shortage of skills and game content. On account of the testing stage, it was reasonable that TERA was not rich in content. Whereas, what are still veiled about TERA? That may be a question in every player's mind.

What new content will come out in TERA's third CBT? Lee La Hyun, the leader of the Planning Team in Bluehole Studio has given a detailed answer in an interview. Let's take a close look.

Focus on testing a large amount of game content

The upcoming 10-day CBT will be open to 20 thousand testers and will lay stress on the amount of content. More than 200 hours of game content has been prepared and half of regions will be open then, while in the last second CBT, only 3 regions were available.

Suppose the game's level cap is 60, players will be able to experience up to Level 40 content in the third CBT. How many testers on earth can try the new content during the short testing period of 10 days? Definitely, few players will have the chance, if they have to start from Level 1. To allow more testers to fully enjoy the new content, NHN and Bluehole Studio have made a decision that testers can continue playing their second CBT characters in the third CBT.

New characters will debut and new movements will be added

In the third CBT, new characters including female Humans and male Castanics and new NPCs will debut. In addition, male High Elves and female Poporis will appear in villages and serve as quest NPCs. Bluehole Studio revealed that the new characters' costumes have been finished and will be released gradually, but won't be accessible in this test.

Besides, some changes have also been made on characters' movements. Originally, there was no jump motion in TERA, so players might feel a little bored while moving. Based on comments and opinions from testers, TERA developers have added the jump motion to the game, thus players will be more likely to enjoy moving, but they are unable to attack while jumping.
